Open US DataVault Backup Professional. You should see this screen:

Click on Preferences.

On the first line, you can set where to store your backups if you do a backup to a local drive.
The last box 'Transfer speed' can be checked if you want to limit how much of your bandwidth the software will use, so it doesn't slow down your internet activity while your backups are running.

Click 'Functionality' On the left

If you're not going to backup any other computers on your network, check 'Skip LAN Loading...'
If your initial backup is going to be very large, we suggest checking the box 'Allow at most one backup to run at a time'

Click 'Save & Exit'

Click Schedule a Full, Incremental, or Differential Backup for the next step.
